The priest from the church where I grew up is the coolest guy ever and he's Irish and even though he's really old...he'll go along with all our family's stupid traditions (i.e. The Annual Freddie Mercury Memorial Invitational Ping Pong Tournament) AND he has totally embraced the internet, which is really amazing considering he's a priest AND he's in his 80s. I just got a great e-mail from him.

Anyhow, he doesn't e-mail often and usually when he does it is to a group of us, and he sent a message just now to me and a bunch of my cousins and I have to share it with you because it's so RAD:

"Hi you stuborn Polish Girls! Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! Remember when you were NICE little girls, dressed in green skirts and white blouses and went to Shamrock for the 'Miss Irish Rose' contest. Some of you even won - what a travesty. This is something very sacred to the IRISH. Gosh! those days are long gone. Anyhow, try to be good if any of you are able or remember how. God bless Miss you all."

P.S. His subject line was "Top of the morning to y'all."
